Dredge-full Adventure, Part One

Very cool screen cap of a ranger skill.
Well Truth is back in Dredgehaunt Cliffs again. Snow and icy foes everywhere. But I got to experience more than I anticipated! Three adventures in one night! So, this post will be in two parts. Welcome to part one, Truth's first adventure of the night. A spider cave with a mysterious surprise. The mystery being an ArenaNet reference worthy of a smile. Then, a 'dredgeful' Vista, that turns out to be something more than expected!

Dredgehaunt Cliffs

Dredgehaunt Cliffs

So my adventures in Dredgehaunt Cliff's are a little more exciting than my last two posts so I am going to post about them in different parts! Here is the map of the area I am working on completing.

It's apart of the Norn race area which consists of beautiful snowy landscapes that have falling snow included in most areas. It's very captivating, especially if it's an area not strewn with icy foes!

The area consists of Jotun, Dredge, Sons of Svanir, Skritt and other normal wild animals. There is more information on it here.

I'm basically finishing up the Norn area's before I move on to any other ones because my storyline is in this area still. I'll have to try and finish it up before my story moves out of it. Tricky!

The Spider Cave Treasure

I went through a cave of spiders to get to a skill point I needed. Upon taking screen caps of my solo fighting
of the swarms, I got a few interesting looking ones! This one looks neat with the light effects, even my hawk, Arthur, has glowing light around him!

The other one has a cool symbol in the air, I think it's one of my ranger skills. I don't normally get screen caps like these so I look forward to getting more of them in the future. I'll be sure to take random caps of my battles for sure now. But those aren't even the best, because there is one with meaning behind it.

Chronicles of Narnia Reference

I didn't even realize this until I started writing this post and did some research on wiki. But apparently this certain SP is a reference ArenaNet made to the lamp post in the forest of the Chronicles of Narnia books. The SP is called Shiniest Skritt Treasure. This was so thrilling to read on the wiki page! They usually have a Trivia section on any references they make on their pages.
I am so glad I was randomly taking screen caps because I happened to get a screen cap of this reference.
I remember thinking to myself, "This seems out of place. I wonder what it's all about?"
It's interesting how the Holy Spirit highlights things. The fun happens when you find out why!

I really like the Chronicles of Narnia movies because of it's parallel with God and the Kingdom of Heaven. Whenever I realize there is a parallel with God and things people create it brings such joy to my heart. I love God. There is an interesting reason behind my gaming with/for God. But that is for another blog post.

Check out Truth getting the SP connected to the Narnia Lamp. It's actually really tall. You can see it better here. It gives you a scale perspective seeing her and Arthur by it. This was definitely a great find. I'll be keeping my eye out from now on for more great finds like this! It is probably a good idea to research the wiki regularly when writing blog posts now.

Tribulation Rift Scaffolding

So I was trying to reach a vista point that seemed like a difficult one in the Tribulation Rift. After much studying of the area (while complete chaos was going on below) I finally figured out the way. At the base of the wood scaffold on the right side is where you get up. Then you gotta make your way to the boards along the cliff side to get to the top. Jump on the rock and run up to the next set of boards.

Start at the bottom of the scaffolding to the right.

When you are ready to jump to the other side, don't try to jump across, but to the level below it. If you try to jump from the very top, you'll probably die from impact (I know because my friend did this and I had to resurrect him, so when in doubt bring a friend!).

Tribulation Rift Vista

I actually slipped when trying to jump from the other side of these boards.
You can climb underneath to the left and jump up onto a boiler looking container and still get the Vista! While you are figuring out this Vista, which is actually the start of a jumping puzzle, chaos is happening on the ground! No wonder it's called Tribulation Rift. Ever heard of the Trials and Tribulations idiom? Take a look at the screen shot of it!

What's great about figuring out this Vista location is that it leads to a jumping puzzle! Once you are at the Vista, jump up over the ridge and go to the left. There is a small opening in the mountain that is glowing blue.

Go on through and get ready to start jumping! More on that in part two of this post.

I'll leave you all with one of my favorite songs from the Chronicles of Narnia Movies

"No need to say good-bye."
Take care, until next time.
